El Patrimonio De Xiuhcoatl is an experimental animation thesis film that utilizes the literary writing methods of graphic novels to develop the narrative flow of the story and sequential art visual aesthetics to inspire the design of the visual style.
The story revolves around Indigenous Mexican teenager Tizocyoatl who infiltrates the temple of his people that has been taken over by conquerors. He has returned to the temple to retrieve his ancestral birthright, an enchanted mask, El Patrimonio de Xiuhcoatl (The Birthright of Xiuhcoatl).
